Shelton College was a private, Christian, liberal arts college that was located in Cape May, New Jersey. It was involved in a landmark case regarding the state licensing of religious schools.
The college motto was "Training Christian Warriors."

History
Shelton College was founded in 1907 as "National Bible Institute" by Dr Don Odell Shelton and located in New York City.
The Rev Dr Carl McIntire was influential in the leadership of the college from the early 1940s until the it closed in the early 1990s.
It became Shelton College in the early 1950s. The college had a campus in Ringwood, New Jersey, moving to Cape May, New Jersey in 1963.
In 1971 the College moved to Cape Canaveral, Florida, in 1971 and then back to Cape May in 1979.
In September 1973, McIntire became Chancellor.
In 1980 the United States Supreme Court upheld a decision of the Supreme Court of New Jersey that forbade Shelton from granting degrees. The school became a certificate granting institution until it closed in 1992.
In 2014, the roof collapsed and the building was demolished.
